I had today another BIM-Workshop with an architectural company. So a possible use case is importing data from archicad to vw. In renovation projects many companies often order model data and outsource the modeling part without defining in which software they should model. At the end they get it and have to import it to VW and it doesn not work pretty well with Ifc. Process issue we can’t solve because often data is already ordered when we come into the project.
How often will that exchange happen, in all likelihood, @Manuel_Emmenegger ?
Hmmh, I often got new 3D IFC or RVT Models about every 2-3 weeks. And had to decide to do all that cleanup and setup work again or better re-model the changes myself (?)
As long as they mostly just add new things, that’s ok. But when they change the cubature of the whole building and you have to follow updating your panels of 3 facade versions …
I am not sure how much Speckle can help directly in in such collaboration cases.
