Hi, everybody!
I hope someone can help me with this one!
Some of my projects on Speckle are being loaded only with 1 row at power BI (no idea why). It happened even with the sample architecture project of Revit. Any idea what can it be?
I started expanding the columns and apparently the object IDs, for example, are now being exported as columns and not as rows.
Can you confirm the version of the PowerBI connector you are using? If you can share the project URL of your data, that will be helpful to replicate because I am not seeing the same as you on my setup.
Of course!
The problem is that I used the exact same model 3 days ago, and it worked.
I am using version 2.19.0
Another thing I noticed is that in the speckle portal, my models thumbnails are not appearing (the ones I am publishing since I noticed the problem). They were replaced by the speckle logo. However, 3 days ago, when everything was working properly, the thumbnail was correctly associated to the model.
Updates, guys (I’m running out of options )
Now I reinstalled Revit because my guess is that the problem is between Revit and Speckle, and not between Speckle and PBI. I believe on this because of the thumbnails change in the speckle environment. The models that are exported as one line to PBI has a cube as thumbnail, while the others, that work properly, shows a model preview.
However, the sample model in speckle ( Viewer - William’s First Project - Speckle) also loads only one row.
I can replicate your stream received as one line. I was part way through checking versions of speckle connector for Revit when I went to bed. I’ll pick this up again this morning
Thank you so much, Jonathon! I really appreciate your help. I have a presentation scheduled about specke with some C-levels later today, and if speckle does not work it would be really bad (since it is the main topic haha)
Hello. Unfortunately I am having the exact same problem using the Civil 3D connector. I was working fine 1 week ago and now all the data is coming as one row. I am using the Civil 3D 2.19.1 connector, tried with PowerBI Version: 2.127.1235.0 64-bit (March 2024) and PowerBI Version: 2.130.930.0 64-bit (June 2024).
Cube demo This is just a demo where I made some random cubes and used the Civil3D Connector and this problem seems to be happening to all the new commits I make using the Civil3D Connector
Thanks @Vlasceanu_Dan this seems to be similiar to what we’re seeing to.
If you are able, can you share a link to a commit made a week ago and one that should be the same data now?
DM if its super secret - we’re trying to rush to a diagnosis right now
Thanks Jonathon ! I sent you a email with the links.
I don’t have it anymore because it was replaced, Jonathon. If you could recover, maybe… three days ago it was working properly.
Sent to your e-mail, Jonathon!
Hi!
I’m facing a problem during the last update of a project were I’m working with Revit, PowerBi and Speckle. Suddenly all the data is reduced to one row.
Data that I was working:
Data after the last update:
Thank you for your attention.
Best regards.
@Vlasceanu_Dan @RSR_820920 @wlipemoura We have identified the problem and are working on a fix. It might not make it in time for @wlipemoura’s presentation.
The workaround right now is to change the source query from a model/branch URL to a specific commit URL…
… which can point to a previously working version of your data. It will be older but fully populated.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
Thanks for your help, Jonathon!
If we could get it sorted today it would be already a big help! Thank you so much! If you need anything else, let me know!
Hello, guys! Someone had any success trying to solve it? If don’t, I’m evaluating other solutions to reach a similar result (since I still have meetings to show integration btwn
BIM models and pbi - even though I prefer Soeckle). Is anyone familiar with vCad or Tracer? Know which one has a shorter learning curve?
