Who has got the biggest.....?

Good news, IFC enthusiasts and @Insiders! We’ve been diving into the IFC parser with some help from our friends and are ready to conduct some stress tests.

The Speckle team is dedicated, but none of us have had the opportunity to create a 1GB IFC file. Have you? If so, we’d love for you to share it with us!

Thanks to @Moritz_Henschel, we have a fist full of NDAs ready. Rest assured; nothing will leave Speckle HQ’s virtual walls (unless you want it to).

We’ve learned that file size and complexity in the IFC world don’t always go hand in hand. So, we’d be especially interested in your large and complex IFC file.

Can you help us help you?

This request probably doesn’t apply to large (1.3GB) STL files?

Not at this time, no.

Can you download it through here? → main - AMV-JS-DE-ARQ-PE-0218-R02_projetos7EDMQB | Speckle

I don’t know if it’s 1Gb+, but it’s pretty big

Right now we are putting the import parser through its paces, so if you’ve already uploaded something, that’s great … but not what the call out was for.

Haha that would be cool ^^ but they are 3D scans

Jan Brouwer announced that he created some new geo-reffed IFC 4 and IFC 4.3 example files (using SketchUp) on LinkedIn:
