Unacceptable slow powerbi performance

Hello, guys!
I’m rescuing this topic from the deepness of this forum haha!
I am facing a similar issue with my revit models.
I have 5 models uploaded and I noticed two behaviours that I am not able to improve from my side with my current knowledge… maybe someone here could help?

  1. Even with a high-speed internet (over 400MB/s download), PBI takes way too long to update the queries. I am talking about more than 15 minutes.
  2. When we interact with the visuals in PBI, the model visual takes too long to adapt. I am talking about more than 1 minute for an action that should be instantaneous. Sometimes, I noticed this happening also with the other visuals as well, but always when I’m interacting with data that come from speckle… not sure if this is a Speckle thing or a PBI thing, but anyway… Just have some hope someone here can give me us hand :smiley:

“Too long” and “should be instantaneous” are very difficult for us to work with @wlipemoura

Are you benchmarking this to another option or tool?
5 models, but how large, how many elements? Which interaction that should be instant?

Since the orginal thread that you resurrected we know objectively Speckle visual and data connector is significantly more performant, so please be specific with what you are reporting and share both your sample workbook and source project URLs with us.
