Unable to receive topography in Revit from rhino mesh surface

Hi

I have a topography mesh in Rhino. Using speckle elements, I have assigned this mesh as Speckle Topography object. However, it cannot be received in the Revit.

Hi @Sameer_Shah , just curious does this mesh work as topography in Revit when imported manually?
And is there an error message when receiving in Revit?

As far as I’m aware, there are 2 main limitations on Revit with regards to Topography meshes:

1. Revit requires topology meshes to have only triangular faces. In your case, the mesh contains Quad faces too.

2. More importantly, a Topography mesh cannot have 2 vertices in the same X,Y coordinates. I did a quick check and it seems your mesh does have this issue, the fastest way to solve it is to weld the mesh.
   
   

So I’d suggest you try triangulating and welding your mesh and see if that solves the issues in Revit

As @AlanRynne suggested, i did Weld your mesh, sent it as Topography and received it just fine in Revit👇. We can safely blame Autodesk on this one🤣
