I tried to color the model by Status, i also set the conditional formatting on the ‘Object Display’ however the color only showing Blue for the whole model. I have set the color of Orange, Purple, Green and White. How can I fix the issue?
Please share as much as you can about the conditional rules you have set.
A single screenshot can’t tell if this is an error in the visual or a mismatch of logic in the conditions.
Dear Jonathon,
Attached image show the details, and I will send you the PBI file, thanks a lot.
Besides the color thing, the tooltip also doesn’t work.
Regards
Judy
The ObjectIDs in the Query from the Speckle data connector will be “Speckle Ids” which are a long hexadecimal string - I wouldn’t expect that your conditional rules would have any effect in this case.
You will likely need to perform a transformation “Edit Query” on the date received from Speckle to expose object property fields that you can correlate with schedules and apply conditional rules to.
Hi Jonathon,
I tried to export data name from Query because this is the field I will use to link to the other file, however the data name disappear after I applied the data to the pbi file.
And could you please advise what exactly field need to be in the conditional formatting “what field should we base on?”. The old connector used URL, new connector doesn’t have this, which field should I put?
Thanks for your advise.
Hey @judywu0102 ,
Thankfully, i recorded a tutorial on this. It will go live later today. I’ll share its link once its live so you can learn about how conditional formatting is supposed to work.
That’s great Bilal! I was searching the video but only see the old one.
In addition, could you please also check this issue? The exported [Data] can’t apply to the PBI report.
Hi Bilal,
Do you have the link of changing 3D model color in PBI (new connector)? Thanks.
