Speckle Manager App Naming

This is niche request but whenever I go to open the Speckle Manager on Windows I type “Speckle” into the start menu first, get confused why the uninstall comes up but not the Manager, then remember that the app is just called “Manager”.

Is there any scope to consolidate the naming to either:

  • Speckle Manager (same as logo)
  • Manager for Speckle (which is used in the window title bar and in settings)

Appreciate this is super nit-picky… :sweat_smile:

Its fair @lukxfnz but we’re seeing inconsistency in Windows itself, but its not been a big enough blocker to “solve” right now.

@gokermu and I were just both testing Navisworks and we see this respectively

Thanks @jonathon – I tried reinstalling to see if that would make a difference but alas no. For context I’m on Win 11 Pro.

For now I’ve renamed the shortcut which seems to work :ok_hand:

We have an official fix for this!
The next Manager release will include it, and everything should work as expected :slight_smile:
