Rhino 8 in Beta

Now that Rhino is officially in Beta, is it possible to have connectors for Grasshopper 1? When I install it always finds my Rhino 7 version. There’s a lot of new features I would like to explore but all my apps use Speckle.

I understand. We are looking at how to continue supporting all our existing versions across multiple platforms while we bring R8 into the fold. I’ll let you and the community know as soon as we have something.

What is the status on the Rhino 8 release? Since Rhino 8 has brought a lot more data workflows, its a perfect fit for speckle.

Rhino 8 compatible release is due soon. In the meantime refer to the answer I pasted right above your question.

For the time being, the solution posted above is still the only support for Rhino 8.

The problem is i don t get the option to load speckle

Do you know what may be causing this ?
(i have already setup runtime to framework)

Have you followed the Install button at the bottom of the list and then navigated to C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\7.0\Plug-ins\SpeckleRhino2 (8dd5f30b-a13d-4a24-abdc-3e05c8c87143)

I don’t recall if it then needs a restart, but this is definitely all it took for me to get it running.
