Revit to Rhino : Receive Complete - except nothing is received (bad Revit geometry?)

I have exported geometry from Revit without error, and its visible in the web viewer. However when I receive it in Rhino, it says “Receive Complete” but nothing is received. The Report is also blank with just the boiler plate text.

I figured that it was something up with my Revit model, so exported a smaller portion of the same Revit model and that is received properly in Rhino. Since there is no info on what is going on, I don’t know how to fix/remove/eliminate the thing in Revit causing the issue receiving it in Rhino.

Any ideas?

We need more info to say something.

  • Which version of connectors you are using? v2 or next gen or both?
  • If possible could you share URL of the model that you can see in the viewer?

  1. have 2.21.5 connectors installed.
  2. Our server is running 2.18.5. (im having IT update to the newest version)
  3. Our server is deployed internally only, so unfortunately its not possible to share.

I updated our server to the newest version, and its still not bringing it into rhino.

So I sent it to the public speckle xyz server and it has the same issue. Can you try out this link and try to import into Rhino 8 and see if it works for you?

FYI: I have tried the nex-gen connectors, but the connectors are blank so cant do anything with those.
