Hi @Kateryna (and others ),
Congrats on the release of the QGIS v3 connector!
I’ve given the Next-Gen QGIS connector a go and have some feedback:
It’s not possible to create 3D buildings with the Next-Gen QGIS connector yet, right? No big deal though.
diff
3D buildings from v2 connector
2D buildings from v3 connector
What is a bit of an issue is that QGIS v2 connector → Rhino v2 connector does give me the GIS properties in the Rhino Properties: Attribute User Text.
However, these GIS properties do not appear in the RHino Properties: Attribute User Text when going QGIS v3 connector → Rhino v3 connector:
If you wish, you can use the different versions of these models to give this a try yourself:
Thanks a lot again

Hi @JoostGevaert !
Currently, next-gen Rhino doesn’t support receiving properties just yet (check this post for updates on all connectors → Next-Gen Connectors: Supported Workflows and FAQ )
This is coming up soon though, don’t worry!

I did completely read your post on Next-Gen Connectors: Supported Workflows and FAQ , but forgot this part.
Where are my user strings and object names? I can’t see my Revit parameters and Rhino user strings when I load my models.
This is a high priority for us to support in next gen! We send user strings and object names in Rhino, but haven’t added support to receive properties yet. Use the current connectors for now if you need this functionality.
Whoops
Thanks for the quick reply @clrkng !
