Power BI - Web view 2 crashing while using the custom speckle visual

Hi Speckle team,

I’m encountering an issue while trying to load a federated model from Navisworks into Power BI using the Speckle Navisworks plugin. The combined model contains approximately 45,000 elements, originally authored in Revit2025 and the same was exported as nwc’s and taken into Navisworks for federated model. The model is getting paused to speckle server by the Navisworks plugin However, the viewer consistently crashes during the process, and I’m seeing the error shown in the attached screenshot.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with large federated models? Any suggestions or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.

Please invite me to the project (jonathon[At]speckle.systems), but the answer will likely depend on the availability of resources.

There are several reports on the PowerBI forums that big data = webview fail.

I´m having the same issue with webview failing. It seems that when it reaches 4GB of RAM usage, it will definetly crash.

Are you using the store version of Power BI or the download version? And could you please tell me which version you are using?

Hi! I’m having the same problem in my Power Bi, not with one especific model, but we have around 20 models in our dashboard, and now that I’m uploading the last models it crashes

Hey @here,

We are working on a fix for the WebView2 issue. If you can share the Model URLs, i’d like to test them and make sure they work.
