Kudos for the great work on Power BI Viewer v3 — it performs really well and has become a valuable tool for our 4D simulations.
One small improvement would make a big difference: every time we select an element, the camera automatically zooms and adjusts the view. It would be great to have the option to turn off this auto-zoom, so we can keep a fixed camera angle during the entire simulation.
This would help maintain consistency and improve visual analysis.

This was previously the default behaviour and we got lots of requests to have the animations back. Can you give more context on exactly why you need the camera to stay where it is. This would help us prioritize this accordingly.
To properly view the embedded 4D video, it’s important to keep the camera at the same position throughout the construction process. I believe it would be great to have an option to enable or disable the automatic zoom feature.
+1 on this request. We’ve been testing a 4D construction simulation setup (Power BI + Speckle, filtering elements by date through a slicer), and the results so far have been really promising. The auto-zoom is one of the few things getting in the way, though — being able to fix the camera on a specific area or angle while scrubbing through the timeline would make a big difference, since right now every date filter update resets the camera and it needs repositioning. Honestly, having this option would help make the case internally for moving forward with an upgraded plan, since it directly affects how usable this workflow would be for real client-facing presentations.
The option is there for many months now. What version are you using? If you select the 3D Viewer and then select the camera, you can disable it.
Moreover, yesterday we released a new version of the Power BI connector that uses the new WebGPU viewer and object model. This allows really large models to load smoothly in Power BI.
I would suggest upgrading your connector to the latest version.
