New project - .xyz or app.speckle.system?

Hi,

Just starting to play with speckle again since a while…

Notice there are 2 websites at the moment to create projects…

1. Which one is the latest/should I use?

A: speckle.xyz (the old one?)
B: app.speckle.systems

2. noticed that it is not possible to simply copy past the URL from the project of app.speckle.systems into the GH Send component, without giving an error… Question: how do I get the correct URL to put in the GH ‘Send’ component?

We now enforce a “model” url, eg. project/id/model/id: go-kart-chair - ggg | Speckle

An easy way to get to it without opening the model itself is by going here:

Adding on top of Dim’s reply:

• the speckle.xyz URL is being deprecated and will not be accessible in the future

Please let us know if you’ve seen any reference to it in our docs or elsewhere so we can fix it

Hi Thanks, for your answer.

However not sure we are talking about the same thing.
Just to make sure: I want to send data from Grasshopper to Speckle.

1. I clicked on ‘New project’
   

2. The screen below is shown:
   

   

3. Question: what URL/How do I get an URL to put in the Grasshopper ‘Send’ component?
   (in the previous version it was simply copy pasting the URL but that seem not to work anymore).
   I tried ricghtclicking on the project but that doesnt give an option.

@teocomi , think the current speckle dock, is incorrect?

There’s not always a “main” model as a default for the project so in GH you are looking to share to a specific model.
