Hello everyone, help a beginner find a mistake. I upload the model from SketchUp to Speckle and then to Power BI. I see the model. But I can’t color it. It looks like all the elements are grouped. Although there is no grouping in the source file. And this is also seen in Speckle. What am I doing wrong?
You’re not doing much wrong yourself - we are changing a bit how we structure data when we send it from Sketchup.
You can alleviate the problem by making sure your objects are not “grouped” - my sketchup skills are rusty, so perhaps tomorrow @oguzhankoral and @gokermu can help more!
Follow up: they’re actually not gruped in the speckle viewer, but do they behave like grouped in powerbi? It might be a powerbi issue! (@gokermu is still the best person to help, but it’s rather late for him right now!)
According to your sent model, it seems like your elements are not grouped but are components in the SketchUp model. Could you explain more about how would you like to color objects in PowerBi?
The model I provided is part of a large warehouse project. Each pallet corresponds to a specific product with certain attributes. By manipulating attribute filters, I want to color the goods=pallets.
Short answer, we haven’t tried if our 3D Visual in Power BI works nicely with SketchUp Models. I recommend sending this model from Rhino as a workaround.
