We had a discussion about the merging also today in our firm (@ltascheva, @torkuen, @mtam, @samberger), and would be super happy if it is part of your roadmap.

This is actively on the development radar . There are several ways this could be implemented and all of them are compelling: automated, UI-based, overlay-based, rule-based (using statuses etc.)

We’ll reach out as it becomes something to scope in more detail.
