I’ve been running some tests with the new Speckle connector. In the video below, I compare the old connector with the new one. For this test, I uploaded models to the server using both methods and then downloaded the queries independently into Power BI.
As you can see, the old connector works perfectly when applying filters. However, when performing the exact same operation with the new connector, Power BI freezes.
Has anyone else experienced this issue or knows what might be causing it?
I’ve already tried installing v3 beta 25 and 19, along with uninstalling the previous versions and testing different setups. Unfortunately, I’m still encountering the same issue. In most cases, Power BI gets stuck on this window, and I’m unable to access the data as required by the new Speckle custom visual.
I’m really excited to test the speed improvements of the next-gen connector, but I’m stuck at this point. Do you have any other suggestions?
