Installation connectors for Revit and Civil 3D

I installed the connectors for Revit and Civil 3D but they’re are not available. My versions are in german. Is it a Problem?

Which versions of Revit and civil3d do you have?

We are supporting 2020-23 at this time

Revit 2022 + Civil 3D 2023.

Your applications being in German should not be an issue. Without any details of what hasn’t worked, you’ll have to bear with a lot of questions:

  • Did you install from Manager or the Releases page on the speckle.systems website?
  • Have you installed them for a Single User or All Users?
  • Were both applications closed when you ran the installer?

If we break down the if files were installed first:

  • Check-in
    C:\Users\YOUR_USER_ACCOUNT\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins
    Do you have Speckle2Civil3D2023 directory there
  • Check-in
    C:\Users\YOUR_USER_ACCOUNT\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2022
    Do you see SpeckleRevit2 directory there

NB if they were machine-wide installed check-in:

  • C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\ & C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins

I made a copy by C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins and everything is now OK.

Good that it works but did you copy them from the user app data folder? Should have worked from there unless something in your system was blocking that
