Objective: What are you trying to achieve, e.g. Receive Blender data in Excel, Use REST to query comments, …
Issue: If you suspect a bug, describe what you expect to happen. Explain what is happening or failing to happen. If you instead need a guiding hand, where are you stuck?
Example: Help us reproduce the issue by attaching sample files, giving a step-by-step reproduction guide and screenshots/videos if available
Speckle link: What better way to share data than using Speckle?
Logs: If the issue regards our desktop connectors, please share the relevant logs you find under: %appdata%/Speckle/Logs
I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this issue. Could you please do two things for me?
Try running the SpeckleBeta command in the command line and see if you can publish using the Next-Gen Rhino connector. This connector should be installed alongside the current version if you have the latest update.
Please share the text file located under %appdata%\Speckle\Logs\rhinoRhino 8. It should have today’s date and will be named SpeckleCoreLog20250217.txt.
Do you have any corporate VPNs enabled?
Or are you using any corporate networks that may have restrictive network firewalls or something that might be blocking network access to specke servers?
I suggest dissabling any VPNs, and trying a different network (maybe a mobile hotspot) and see if there’s any improvement.
Could you please try connecting from a different network, like a mobile hotspot? Additionally, if you are using a cracked version of Rhino, there might be some firewall rules preventing Rhino from connecting to the internet. Please check your firewall’s outbound rules by following these steps:
Open Windows Defender Firewall (search for “Windows Defender Firewall” in the Start menu).
Click on “Advanced settings” in the left panel.
Select “Outbound Rules” from the left sidebar.
Look for any rules related to Rhino or rhinoceros.exe.
Right-click on the blocking rule and choose “Delete.”
