@ysz this is not a presently supported feature in the Speckle web application.

Other than placing 2D drawings in the 3D space, is there a general use case you are trying to achieve that we can register it as a thorough feature request?

In principle it could be possible as a developer to generate a mesh plane where the 2D drawing is imprinted as Color information to the mesh vertices, but only programmatically at this point - we have no guidance on this other than the functionality in QGIS for mapping satellites imagery to a topography.

firstly, thank you very much,i want to ask other question .
1、the model of revit transfer to speckle, i find the transmission is inefficient。but archicad is efficent,we had analyzed it。i want to konw wheather you have method to improve the efficiency?
2、We are currently using Speckle extensively. Could you provide us with any resources to help us develop Speckle better?

  1. Our upcoming connectors (v3 / next-gen) bring substantial performance improvements, you should give them a try: Introducing Next-Gen Connectors
Can you elaborate more on the “the transmission is inefficient”?

  2. Our main resources are the docs: https://speckle.guide/ & github of course, if there’s anything missing feel free to ask here!

If I want to modify the viewer so that it can support images, please provide a method for implementation. Specify which parts need to be modified, or outline the general approach. Please suggest the method with the minimum workload.

hey @ysz - this a tricky one; texture support has been in our sights for a while. I’m afraid providing instructions on how to do this is not trivial, probably the same effort as us starting to implement this. We don’t have a clear pathway yet. I’ll consider this as an extra shout for prioritising this!
