the ability to set the archicad layer that the connector creates new objects in. this could either be an existing layer, or if the name specified doesn’t exist, create a new layer with that name.
at the moment the connector just dumps everything into the archicad layer.
an extension to this idea would be to be able to specify different layer for different object types/classes/families, but then we are heading towards allowing a full lookup/translation table for bim objects, which is what we ultimately really need, but which is a lot more work
This a a utterly needed feature, being able to at least the layer for incoming elements. It’s pushing many of our colleagues away from the tool when they encounter this issue.
Moreover, we have found coordinate system inconsistencies when importing geometry. It seems 3D scene in Archicad is reading the working coordinate system of your 2D view, affecting rotation of imported objects.
