AutoCAD connector not appearing in Adds-in tab

So I have installed the AutoCAD connector 2.5.1 and it is showing nothing on my AutoCAD Add-ins tab.
In the Speckle Manager app, it shows that the connector is installed.

Please can you help.
Thanks.

Hi @hpl and welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately, AutoCAD LT does not support plugins, you would need a full AutoCAD version.

i have same problem in autocad full version !!!

Hi @Alireza_Alipour welcome to the forum!

Can you please confirm what version of Speckle for AutoCAD you have installed?
Does Speckle work/show up correctly in any other Software that we support?

Hi, thanks …

version of Speckle is 2.10.2
no, i need to work with autocad only …

Can you please check what language is set for AutoCAD?

That is a reason :

LT does not support any add-on

That was the original solution - @Alireza_Alipour reported this error for full AutoCad and resurrected the thread.

I am having the same issue, with AutoCAD 2021 FULL

Hi, @Professor_Germano let’s try and improve your first Speckle experience.

Can you specify the version of the Manager you are using?
What version of the AutoCAD Connector have you tried to install?
Are you installing for All Users or just yourself?
Are you within a corporate firewall or VPN?

Or give this a try:
In AutoCAD (or Civil3D), run the NETLOAD command.
Navigate to: C:\Users<USER>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\Speckle2AutoCAD (or Civil3D) and select the SpeckleConnectorAutoCAD.dll (or Civil)
This should prompt an approve dialog to always allow speckle. Accept that, then run Speckle command. You should be able to access the connector then.

Hi everybody,

sorry for the late reply, it has been busy on my side lately:

  • V2.9.8
  • First the 2.12.2, then the 2.13.0 with the same outcome
  • As far as I know, for all users (which is only me on this machine)
  • Corporate firewall and VPN

WOW, that made it!! Thanks, now I finally can try Speckle!
