Updating parameters (Excel to Online view directly)

Hello,

I have a Revit model and an Excel file with all elements and parameters. My colleague wants to update some parameters in Excel, then he needs to provide me the Excel export in Speckle, I open it in Revit, update the stream and then my colleague can see it in 3D and can find some errors in his Excel update.
I would like to know if there is a way to remove the Revit step in this scenario? Opening a large file in Revit and updating the stream can take two or three hours, which is not efficient in this trial-and-error process. I look forward to your suggestions.

Hey @ghazaleh.eslami ,

If you’re modifying from Excel any parameter that controls the geometry or look of your Revit model, then, unfortunately, Revit is necessary.

Can you give us some more details about the workflows and kind of data/parameters you’re working with?

Many thanks for your response. Yes, I wanted to control the geometry in my model by Excel.

Thanks for clarifying, but that is unfortunately not possible without Revit.
