currently when installing the dynamo connector, using the manager, it tries to download a .exe.
on my (and most rigorous managed systems) random downloading of .exe is blocked.
can the installer be fixed in any way to work similar to the other connectors? I have no issues with installing those.
All connectors installed by manager rely on an exe file which is downloaded in the background and then run. Sometimes they get erroneously flagged as malicious.
Please upload it for further checking to: VirusTotal
And if deemed safe ask your IT team to unblock it.
Clear! problem is, I cannot download the .exe to test this. since this is blocked (also via the release site) is there anything different to this .exe then compared to the others?
There’s nothing I can see different about the exe its self.
We sign our releases with a Digicert certificate which is usually enough for IT systems to not complain.
Is there any more info you can give us about what threat it thinks is being detected…
Perhaps you could also try older releases of the dynamo connector to see if they behave any differently.
