Speckle to create family components RFA

Hi Speckle team,

When importing furniture and components from SketchUp or Rhino into Revit, they currently come in as Direct Shapes directly into the project file (RVT). However, I’m looking for a way to quickly import this geometry into Revit Family components (RFA), ideally directly as family components, no extra rework just clean nice family components with material’s type parameters.

Is there a method or planned feature that supports this kind of importing? This would be a killer for BIM workflows and a real game changer.

We’re actively working on adding support for loading blocks/components as families in Revit.

You can now load blocks from other applications (like Rhino, SketchUp, AutoCAD etc.) as families in Revit. Check out the product update: Native Revit families, model validation (beta) and more | Speckle
