This announcement applies to the members of Speckle’s community who are self-hosting Speckle server, or developers of Speckle server.
As part of keeping Speckle server up to date and able to utilise new features, we’re changing the minimum required version of one of Speckle server’s dependencies. The minimum Postgres version used to be 14 and will now be version 16.
This change has already been made to the development version of Speckle server (HEAD of main branch, to those who speak git!). This change will soon be available as a production release in due course.
Before updating Speckle server, we strongly recommend that you back up your data. Detailed instructions can be found in our database migration guide.
