Speckle Desktop Services can't run?

Hello, Speckle team!
I just noticed this issue and I’m still investigating what could be the reasons for it, but maybe this affects other users as well.

Speckle Desktop Services just stopped working in my computer. It does not matter how I try to open (adm, CMD, etc.), it just can’t run the app. This behaviour started today, after Windows updates a few services in the system.

Our IT geniuses are taking a look from our side what we can do and our current suspect is that this issue is related to .NET.

I’m sharing it here for your awareness. Below you can see the errors we identified so far.


I’ll keep you posted if we can find any solution from our side. Maybe you can help us.

We’re aware of this incident. The 0.20.0 version of the desktop service contains a bug.

We’ve already pushed a new version 0.20.1 which contains a fix.

The recommended action right now would be to completely uninstall the Desktop service and then re-install it via running one of the connector installers.

We’ll make a public post shortly.
