Speckle-ACC Link Broken After Rollback

I had to perform a ‘rollback’ on an ACC model. To do this, I deleted the RVT from ACC and re-uploaded a new version with the same name and a few corrections.

Even though the model looks identical in the ACC hub and is in the exact same folder, I believe the API now sees a different Revit ID (since I’m back to V1). As a result, my link between Speckle and ACC is broken.

I was wondering if it’s possible to edit the mapping between the two without having to create a new model, essentially an option to ‘Sync from a new file’ to overwrite the current version and continue the history ?

If there is no simple fix, I will simply delete the model on Speckle and start fresh from the new V1 version!

Hey @Gab,

Thanks for flagging this. I’ve logged it as a known issue and it’s on our radar, though I can’t give a firm timeline for a fix just yet.

In the meantime, there’s a workaround that should help:

  1. Rename your existing model sync in Speckle to something else
  2. Create a new sync with the original name
  3. If you want to preserve your version history, move your versions from the old sync to the new one.

Let me know if that works for you or if you run into any trouble with the steps!

I’m not sure I understand how to ‘move a version’ from the old sync to the new one. Do I have to use the SpecklePy SDK to do this?

You can use the web app to do this.
