Speckle 2.9 Released!

Hello @Community!

A new version of Speckle is out! :partying_face:
Some of quality of life improvements including, but not limited to:

  • :white_check_mark: New Viewer: It’s much more robust and performative.
  • :white_check_mark: Shadows are in: Now you have shadows in the viewer and you can easily control them.
  • :white_check_mark: Ambient Occlusion: You read it right! Scenes already look better, with detail popping out.
  • :white_check_mark: Multi-Select Actions: Easily move/delete multiple commits from one branch to another without getting into them.
  • :white_check_mark: and much more…

Hi @teocomi,
Thanks for bringing the AO and Shadow feature to the viewer. Now the views and the models look premium, and you guys are awesome :blush:
I hope this feature also will be available in the Speckle Power BI viewer, right?

Yes, indeed, PowerBI uses the same viewer and it will soon be available there too :slight_smile:

Great job you guys! I mean, look at this kitchen. Some folks were very happy today sending it from Rhino to Revit.

You should try it out on latest.speckle.dev → @alex got progressive SAO in, which is like even better!
