SketchUp data can't find on the PBI

Dears,

For some reason, after I connect the SketchUp 3D model to Power BI, some of the information in the model is missing from the Power BI data. The photo shows that the ‘Component’ information is missing from Power BI. Is there any way to fix this issue and make the data appear in Power BI? Thanks.

Let me know if you need additional info from me, thanks.

Hey @judywu0102,

Can you please share your Speckle project URL with us? You can send me a direct message if you want or just post it here.

Hi Nikos,

Do you have contact I can send the link to you directly? Thanks.

Judy

Link received thanks. Will get back to you.

hi @judywu0102,

We just published an update in the Sketchup Connector and fixed this! Please go here to download and install the latest version and publish again the model in Speckle.

Now you should be able to see the following properties.
Tag = layer
Instance = name
Definition = definition

In PowerBI should be easy to find the data now.

Let me know if you are still having issues.

Thanks Nikos.

I can see and extract the data now. However for some reason, when I put the data of 2 tables together, Object ID is all the same which is wrong. And the tooltips doesn’t work too. How can I fix this? Thanks.

I have uploaded the PBI file “Simplify 3D model_new connector_10032025” to you, thanks.

hey @judywu0102,

First - You simply need to filter out all the data that you don’t need, Keep the Layer info and the InstranceProxy that holds all the data that you need.

Second - Simply extract the parameters that you need by creating a new custom column.
If you are getting missing values/errors just replace those with null.

I sent you the dashboard modified
