Rhino Blocks to Revit Families - 3.1.2 Beta update

Hi Speckle Team!
I just updated to Speckle Beta 3.1.2.
How do I send Rhino Blocks to Revit as Families?
When I tested a sample block, it came into Revit as a Group without the feature of editing it as a family, which was a feature in previous releases with the Mapper and Speckle settings. The Beta release is simplified to one toolbar now.
Is this workflow still relevant? Rhino Block to Revit Family
Let me know what is the current workflow for creating Families in Revit? - Thank you

Hey @Piotr_Jan - sadly, v3 connectors are not there yet. To help us prioritise, can you let us know how often do you use this workflow, and whether we were delivering it correctly in v2?

The reason we’re not yet fully deprecating v2 connectors is specifically to enable you to carry on using them!

Hi dimitrie! I use that feature daily as my main way to export information from Rhino to Revit and back to Rhino and v2 was very efficient with that feature.
I will downgrade to v2 connectors for now but would be great to see those features back in v3.
Speckle Mapper to assign custom types of families to Rhino objects (surface to floors etc.) was also very helpful - thank you!

Well then you’re now on my and @clrkng (and @oguzhan)'s list to talk about mapper. We haven’t seen the adoption we wanted on mapper in terms of usage, but you had us at i use this feature daily  We would be keen to know more about your day to day job/position/role and workflows!

PS: the connectors work in parallel easily, just don’t mix them up in the workflows.

Hey Hey. Saw this thread and wanted to just mention that we are also very interested in ensuring that the mapping feature is available to users for v3 connectors. The rhino to revit mapper in v2 worked quite well and it seems that people are still in need of this interop? And so this might be a little bit of a bummer if y’all are sunsetting v2 connectors..

@dimitrie please add me also to mapper group if its still around

Hi all, and @dimitrie especially,

I second the different posts i’ve seen about sending native Revit components through Grasshopper connector.

In our company we set high expectations around this feature with this workflow: we want to generate a configuration of a given model through a Rhino compute server and open it on a user’s instance of Revit, AutoCAD or other CAD softwares. For now our tests were held while the newgen connector was developed but there is really a usage for us.

Please let us know if we need to clarify anything on this topic, we’d be glad to help (cc @abdoey)

Best
