Hi All,
Every time i relink in my revit file to sketchup it replaces the materials that i have edited in sketchup. I didnt think this was suppose to happen?

I have the Version 2.20.6-alpha.161252.
How are you editing it? Are you editing the newly created material or replacing it with something else? Because I am unable to reproduce the issue.
I have tried editing the material directly and i have also tried creating a new material and replacing it; both get replaced when i relink from Revit. My college also has this issue with the Version 2.20.6-alpha.161252.
We tried installing a later version and it seems to work then, just not in the newest version

I have been using Revit 2.19.3 and SketchUp 2.19.0 because the latest versions seem to override materials when relinking the Revit model into SketchUp. Initially, the materials linked correctly with these versions, but after relinking more than six times, the issue reoccurred. The materials’ names are altered by adding a number at the end; for example, “Grey Stone” becomes “Grey Stone 1” after relinking from Revit. Additionally, we noticed that some elements are hidden when relinking to SketchUp, although they remain visible in the web version.
We are using Revit 2024 and have tried it in both Sketchup 2021 and Sketchup 2024
My colleague and I have attempted this multiple times on different computers with various files, but the problem persists. Could you please assist us with this? Do you require any further information from us so you can test it at your end?
