The goal is to transfer model geometry from one Revit file to another via the cloud. While the physical geometry transfers successfully, the attached parameters and data are being lost.
Currently, the incoming geometry loads as a ‘Generic Model’ rather than retaining its original system families (like Walls, Floors, etc.). This defeats the purpose, as users cannot edit the elements as native Revit geometry.
Is there a known solution or workflow that allows a Revit model to be uploaded and received as native, fully editable geometry without losing its data or element categorization?
