Revit schedules deleted after receiving from Excel

Hi All,

I have recently started using the Excel connector with Revit and have discovered an issue when receiving data into Revit.

The connector is working well and updating the parameters well after updating in Excel and receiving back in Revit. I have used the connector a fair amount but have discovered a couple of instances where a schedule will be deleted when the data is pulled back into Revit.

I am using Revit 2023 with Revit connector 2.20.4.

Has anyone experienced this issue and is it something speckle are aware of?

I’m sorry to hear, we haven’t seen this happen before! Could you share a model together with some reproduction steps? We’ll look into it.

Here are the reproduction steps:

  1. Open a blank work book in excel
  2. Open excel connector in excel
  3. Open connector in Revit > select schedule > send to speckle

  1. Back in Excel > Open project > hit receive schedule button

  1. Update schedule in excel > switch connector to send > Select full range of cell excl. hidden cells A1 etc

  1. Receive schedule back in Revit

Following this process, sometimes a schedule is deleted but not always.
