Receive Error (System.AccessViolationException)

On Revit, when I try to receive the data, there is a pop-up error message. How do I resolve this issue?

“System.AccessViolationException - Attemped to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrup.”

Welcome to our forum @heechan.shin !

I believe this is something we need to debug, probably an exception thrown by the Revit API.
Can you please upload a sample model to this secure folder I just shared with you?

Please confirm the version of the Revit Connector and Revit file you have been using.

Lastly, also reply here with instructions on how to reproduce it, and we’ll look into it.

Hi Matteo,

Since the link to Google drive is not working, I just sent the sharepoint link to Matteo Cominetti matteo@speckle.systems. Please check and let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks

Hello! I’m receiving the same error when trying to send instances of furniture families from one Revit project to another. Has there been any resolution on this error?

Thank you!

Mia

Hi Mia,

What connector version are you using? Could you share a sample model with us (drive/dropbox)?

@heechan.shin apologies we missed on your message, could you share the model again as well?

Hi Matteo,

I’m using the connector for Revit 2024 v2.12.2.16503. I just emailed a link to a drive folder with a version of the test model containing the furniture families that I was trying to transfer to another model.

Thanks!

Mia

Thanks for the model Mia,

I just tested publishing & receiving some desk units and had no problems.
I think the issue has to do with the fact the file uses linked files on ACC and that’s not supported.

Ah okay. I was trying to transfer from one model hosted on ACC to another, also hosted on ACC. So you’re saying that that’s not possible? In other words, this would only be possible from server-based models?

Thanks!

Mia

That’s correct, sorry it wasn’t clearly communicated when using Speckle!
I believe our team has this on the roadmap for Next Gen connectors.
