I am creating an example Power BI report using:
-Power BI
-Blender
-Excel
-MS Project online
I have pulled in all the data and connected it up however, when I select a field in a table or matrix, the speckle model is not filtered. This is even when I restrict it to only the direct fields from the speckle source. The model was originally from Blender.
The model is filtered by slicers. This includes date slicers.
I noted another issue with PowerBI visualisations from other data sources being filtered by other components in the Power BI report, but nothing specific to Blender speckle models.
What I want to happen is select table or matrix information, and the model is filtered by this selection.
Hi @gokermu, I have set the Tooltip data field to a field from the Speckle query. I have republished the report. Can take up to half an hour before the change is seen in the link. From what I can see it hasn’t made a difference.
Thank you for sharing the Power BI source file. I noticed that you were also filtering Collection speckle type objects. Collections are essentially groups of objects. Since you were filtering both individual elements and collections simultaneously, it was causing issues, and I’m unsure if we can support that level of interactivity with other Power BI visuals (possible power bi limitation tbd). By simply removing those, I was able to get it to work on my end.
