Hey guys! Maybe someone here can help me in finding out how to try the next-gen connector for Archicad. I first tried installing it manually but it didn’t work. @gokermu advised me to install the latest version of the connector through the Speckle Manager, but I still can’t find the beta.

Can you check the Installed Apps dialog on Windows? Do you see Speckle for Archicad v3 listed there. Because it is not listed in your Addon Manager which indicates that it’s not installed.
Speckle for Archicad v3 seems to be installed according to the Apps dialog on Windows, but I still can’t see it neither in the Archicad interoperability nor palettes tab.
I thought it was an issue with administrator rights in my computer, because I’m not the administrator, but I contacted my IT and tried uninstalling it completely again and installing it by executing the installer both as admin and with admin rights on my user, but I had the same results…
I wanted to bring this issue back up because I recently tried installing the latest connector update, hoping something had changed, but I’m still experiencing the same problem.
Has there been any progress on reproducing the issue? Also, has anyone else in the community been able to install it successfully? I’d love to hear if others have found a workaround or if it’s affecting more users.
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble installing the Archicad connector. To help diagnose the issue, could you please provide the following information:
Navigate to C:\Program Files\GRAPHISOFT\Archicad 27\Add-Ons and check if the Speckle.apx file exists.

I think I’ve figured out what the reason is. I have 4 versions of Archicad installed on my computer at once, namely 25, 26, 27, and 28. So in 27 and 28, the application was updated to version 3, but in 25 and 26, unfortunately, it was not. I think you only updated to version 27+. But unfortunately, my main working version is 26(
As far as I know, our next-gen Archicad connector supports version 26 and above, so in theory, it should work. Could you please share this information anyway?
Please do not pay attention to the message about the absence of the application for 26 Archicad, because after I saw that it does not work on this version, I tried to copy the *.apx file from the 27 Archicad folder to the 26 folder, so you see the problem with its absence. But it didn’t work before that
that’s the expected behaviour. Our v3 Archicad connector only supports 27 and 28 currently. Copying the apx file to previous versions will not work because the Archicad API changes from version to version.
We can build the connector for 26, but there is an issue during the send operation (probably because AC 26 ships with a different CEF browser version), and that’s why we haven’t included it in the installer yet. I’ll let you know if that changes, but resolving this issue is not a priority at the moment. @gokermu

I’m sorry that I couldn’t answer earlier now that I saw you worked it hard on friday… @_Sergii_Holomah I believe we have different issues here. I also have different Archicad versions installed on my computer but I’m currently trying to use it in Archicad 27 which should work.
@gokermu I think you found part of the problem because the link to the Speckle add-on in the Archicad add-on manager is different to the one you sent me, and when comparing both folders in my local browser I can see that they’re different files.
I had to paste the apx of the directory you showed me into the directory that my manager was telling me, changed the name to the one that the addon was trying to read and when I restarted Archicad there was my beloved Speckle tab! Thanks for the help!
Thanks for reporting the issue! I was able to reproduce it on my HUN installation.
The current installer only works properly with INT and US versions.
We will release a fix for the installer soon. Until then you can use the workaround you already found.

I just needed to get it confirmed that V3 works for Archicad 28? Since in download page of next gen connector it just says Archicad 27.
The latest version of connector is 3.0.0- beta 7 as i see now, does it work with Archicad 28?
