NEW Connectors [Stable]

Hey, quick question: why isn’t there a clear list of fixes/changes with each connector release on the releases site? I end up downloading fresh versions, hoping my issues are fixed, only to discover they’re not included. Feels like a time sink. Do I need to dig through GitHub every time to know what’s changed?

Otherwise, keep up the good work. I do appreciate your services

Good feedback @TheCodingBadger

A flip side of us trying to get far more frequent releases is that there are more than we list in aggregate in the Changelog here on the forum.

As we’ve moved distribution to Log in | Speckle it’s a recent addition but we can look to improve per connector change reporting there perhaps.

OTOH GitHub is a pretty fantastic resource of transparency of what we’re working on; but appreciate it is a disjointed step for all but the most curious users

Hi Speckle team,

I’ve just got set up with v3 connector for grasshopper.

First impressions are that it’s quicker and easier to use, so great work.

I was hoping that nesting data would be pretty straightforward, but cant seem to find a way with the properties. Maybe im missing something?

Ideally we want collapsible items in the viewer, so we can nest data accordingly.

Thanks

@willallen88 glad you’re liking the UX!

It’s currently not possible to created nested properties, but we’ve gotten a few requests for it already.
I’ve added it to the roadmap for the stable release of v3 grasshopper - should be done by end of month if not sooner.

An update: 3.4.0 has just been released, and includes nested properties in Grasshopper: just pipe your Create Properties output into another Create Properties input, and the structure will show up in your viewer after you publish!
