This is an update for those of you who are self-hosting a Speckle server on a Kubernetes platform.
As those of you who are self-hosting on Kubernetes may know, Speckle package the deployment configuration for Speckle server in a Helm Chart.
From Helm version 3.8.0, Helm support the distribution of Helm Charts via Open Container Initiative compliant registries, such as DockerHub. This was released a few years ago and has gained traction as a preferred distribution method for Helm Charts.
We are pleased to announce that Speckle has started publishing the Speckle server Helm Chart on DockerHub.
Speckle’s legacy Helm repository is still available but has been archived. This means that new versions of the Helm Chart will no longer be published there but older versions will remain available.
We have updated our documentation on deploying to Kubernetes to reflect this change.
