Import/Export to Excel

Hi everyone,

I’m new about speckle and community.

I was trying to export and import some data from revit 2023 to excel. I had a simple project with 4 walls and a wall schedule with these fields:

  • family and type
  • comments

I tryed to follow step by step all the instructions of the tutorial in order to export the schedule, edit it in Excell and import the excel. But even if the application does not give me any error messages, my model is not updated. Any suggestion for me?

Could you please share some more details? What properties did you edit in Excel?

I’m using Revit 2023 and the latest Excel version since I have the office suite. The steps I follow were:

  • model 4 walls in revit
  • create a wall schedule with: Family/type and the revit default parameter “comments”
  • Send to Excel with Speckle and import in Excel
  • edit only the column “comments” in Excel
  • send the excell and try to receive that in revit

I’ve lookend into this and unfortunately we’re not supporting the Excel > Revit workflow anymore.
