How to achieve better graphic control over a uploaded model from Reivt

We are hoping to use Speckle to replace ACC viewer on our projects to provide coordination help by, we are hoping to use speckle to generate interactive 3D Diagrams but I’m running into a lack of “graphic control” once the model is uploaded:

  1. Is it possible to control the transparency and color of certain objects better via parameters? We’ve tried the filters but it seems like the color generated are completely random? I understand we can control the color through materials but that method would not work if we are diagramming the same material objects like floor differently based on zones or programs. Can we change the behavior of “ghosted objects” so we can fine-tune how visible~invisible they are? Can such setup with filters be saved as a view to be reused for presentations?

  2. Is it possible when cutting sections, to control the color/weight of the section cut individually? So we can have the section cut as a thicker unique color to stand out more?

  3. Would love to have control over how the “explosion” animation works so we can create proper exploded axons that move in one direction and animated in a way that makes sense for the topic in mind, most likely circulation across different floors.

Are some of these possible through Speckle Intelligence or Power BI? I’m trying to avoid building bespoke PowerBI for routinely generated diagrams that can change a lot and used only once or twice as the project move forward, but if it can be achieve relative easily that could be the route too, but having it web based would be much more useful.

Or are these only possible by using the API to build custom web experience?

Thank you!

Hi @warm-july

The things you described are not currently builtin in Speckle Intelligence nor Power BI as far as I know.

However they are achievable via the viewer API and custom extensions.

Cheers
