Hitting building standards using Speckle and Power BI

Hallo again!

This week, I’m showcasing Aleseng Serape and Marceau Brunner, who will be presenting on November 7th at SpeckleCon this year in London!

Aleseng and Marceau from Losinger Marazzi faced the all-too-common troubles of ensuring they were meeting their local building standards. They have teams spread out across multiple offices using different authoring tools to produce their building data, and were having a hard time federating that data to verify if they were genuinely hitting their targets.

They faced the choice of either forcing everyone to use the same software or finding another way. Of course, this being the Speckle forum, and why I’m writing about it today, they chose Speckle to become the common linkage between software and teams.

Aleseng and Marceau built a custom workflow using Speckle and Power BI to dashboard their troubles away, utilizing easy-to-understand graphs that clearly indicate whether their project complies with local laws or not. Their specialists now use the software that best suits their needs, while also providing them with transparency into their team’s work.

Have you used Speckle in a similar way? Created a custom Power BI dashboard to gain insights into your organisation’s work? Post down below and show off a bit!
