Data Stored in Speckle

Hello, I would like to know how secure are the data that we are sending to Speckle servers? some client might want to know if it is secured to use speckle to transform some design from Autocad or other to Revit.

Hi @McLean! The full answer is here:

Long story short: itā€™s quite very secure (data is encrypted in transit, as well as at rest), and itā€™s not shared with any other people than the ones you choose to share it with. For a specific secret project that one large organisation was using Speckle on, weā€™ve been even informally audited by the NCSC in 2021.

When using Speckle connectors, we transform your data to an object model, and when receiving that data in another application, we convert ā€œfrom speckleā€ to the host applicationā€™s native objects.

Do note, that we can guarantee that level of security for servers we maintain; if you are using a self-hosted server, we canā€™t provide any reassurances
