Customizing Colors in Power BI Viewer with "Color by"

Hello Speckle team,

I’m currently using Speckle’s Power BI integration and have been exploring the “Color by” feature in the viewer. I was wondering if there is any way to customize the colors that are displayed when using this function.

In many cases, we want to visually distinguish between correct and incorrect elements by using green for what is right and red for what is wrong. Is there an option to define a specific color palette or manually assign colors to different values?

If not, are there any workarounds or planned updates that might allow for this customization in the future?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards,
Pablo

Hi @Pablo-HorizunAEC,

Unfortunately, using the Color By field is not possible at the moment. It is a known limitation. But you can use Conditional formatting. Please note that this will override the filtering (transparency).
The video demonstrates using gradient colors, but you can achieve your desired outcome by specifying unique colors, such as red and green.

We are about to release a new PowerBI connector very soon, I will let you know once is out so you can test it.

Thanks Nikos, I am going to test that tool. I will be waiting for the next release.
