I found this strange, because on the site it says: unlimited models.
I then looked at the pricing structure, where one user is 9$ which is really low, so i thought, lets do that. But then there is now also a cap on models in this structure, so i then need the 15$ upgrade for unlimited projects/models. I also find this fair.
Hi @Joschy. Thanks a lot for writing! You are very quick as we are literally right in the middle of introducing these new limits and new pricing. We have yet to update the community forum but you can already learn more in this announcement.
To clear out some confusion:
I found this strange, because on the site it says: unlimited models.
This must be because you saw the old pricing page just before we changed it. New pricing page is live on speckle.systems/pricing.
I only get a quantity of 3 users?!
There is no user limits in workspaces. You can have unlimited members on all plans. What you pay for is editing members who need to publish and load from connectors and create new projects (= the Editor seat). Members who only need to view projects on web and comment are free (= the Viewer seat).
We’ll see how this can be clearer from the checkout flow.
When at the checkout i am confronted with a higher price.
Based on your screenshots, the price is higher because you are paying for 3 users on an Editor seat. If you don’t need all of them to have paid Editors then you should go to the People settings in your workspace and downgrade their seat to Viewer. Then proceed through checkout again.
We’ll also see how this can be clearer!
If you have any other questions or comments please shout! You almost became the first customer on this new release – I hope you succeed through the checkout flow next time :).
It is now not clear indeed where the 3 paid members come from (this is also what i mean with the 3 users, not that it can only have 3 members). Because in our workspace we had 2 normal accounts and 1 test guest account, so its a bit strange all of these are just taken with when ordering seats
As part of the release we have migrated all existing workspaces on the platform onto the new plans, which have this new distinction between Editor seats and Viewer seats. We made the decision to give all existing workspace members and guests Editor seats on the new plans by default to make sure their project permissions were preserved. So this explains why your existing two members and your guest all show up as three paid Editor seats when you to buy a subscription.
If any of your members only need to view models on the web app and comment then you should downgrade their seat type to Viewer from your workspace settings.
