First of all, huge thanks to the Speckle Team—you’re solving problems that so many of us in this field face. Really appreciate the amazing work!
I’m currently trying to transfer a model from Archicad to Blender. The geometry comes through perfectly, but unfortunately, all the materials are missing—even though I can see them in Speckle Cloud.
Any advice or ideas on how to get the materials into Blender would be greatly appreciated!
If you’re sending data from a v3 connector, be advised that only other v3 connectors will be able to receive it.
Same goes for data sent from a v2 connector; only v2 can receive, so its important to keep your versions aligned, otherwise we expect to see heavily compromised receives like you’re describing with no materials.
You should checkout our alpha v3 connector for Blender. It may be a little rough around the edges, and only supports receive right now, but will correctly handle materials sent from a v3 Archicad connector.
Alternatively, you could send your data from a v2 Archicad connector.
Feedback on our v3 products are welcome
Hi Jedd!
Thank you for your explanation and advice. I have tried Blender 4.4 with Speckle v3 and as you said it works perfectly!
Thanks again to you and your team for this amazing project!
