Hi,
I just installed next gen 3.0 Archicad Connector and immediately Archicad 27 crashes on opening
I uninstalled the previous version, re installed the new Next Gen 3.0 and kept crashing.
Speckle Status:
Objective: Update Next Gen 3.0 ArchiCAD connector to work with PowerBi later.
Issue: After update Archicad ends up with a crash and the Bug Report Window as shown.
Example: The described process above.
Speckle link: L.128 | Speckle
Logs: Not able to log, the only way to open ArchiCAD 27 is to uninstall ArchiCAD 3.0 Speckle connector
Hi @Ignacio_Diaz
Did you try to open Archicad with an existing project, or a blank project?
If it was an existing one did you already publish models to Speckle from it with a previous connector version? If yes, which version?
Have you tried any of the previous 3.0.0-beta.x versions? Is 3.0.0 the first where you experienced this problem?
Could you also share the Archicad build number and language? (like 3001 - INT) It’s under Help/About Archicad
Thank you!
David
Thanks David,
I´ve been working with this project last week (until last friday) with 2.x version of Speckle Manager and last week latest version for connectors both ArchiCad and PowerBi.
Today I uninstalled the previous version of ArchiCAD Connector and re installed the New GEN 3.0 and when I opened ArchiCAD again it started to crash, wasn’t even able to open the file so I uninstalled it and ArchiCAD worked again but I’m unable to connect with speckle anymore for this reason.
My Archicad is 4030 SPA Full.
I really appreciate your help! Thanks David.
Thanks for the reply @Ignacio_Diaz
I assume you were using the latest of the 2.x connector so far, based on the Speckle model you shared.
Have you tried opening just a new empty project in Archicad using the 3.0.0 Speckle connector? Did that also result in a crash? If you haven’t, could you try that please?
David,
Thanks again for your support. Before trying what you ask me with a new file I uninstalled everything again an re installed again. Once I opened a new file it finally opened just fine. After that I tried my old file and it’s working fine, I assume it was a corrupted installation before. Thanks again and I hope this post may be helpful to someone who is running the same problem. Regards!
