Hello, a work I transferred from Revit to Power BI. If I transfer the same Revit model to Naviswork and set Timeline there. Can I transfer this Naviswork Model to Power Bi?
And can 4d simulation be done with the timeline I set in Naviswork in Power Bi? Is there a training video or document about this?
Thank you
Navisworks timeline in PowerBI isn’t something we have any material on right now, but now the connector is part of the next Gen beta it has matured from alpha status; consequently we’re looking to do so very soon.
Would you prefer to see timeline data directly in speckle or just a demonstration of combining an export from the timeline joined to the published model data … what did you have in mind?
We’ve successfully adapted Power BI and Speckle to create simulations similar to those in Navisworks. This allows you to visualize 4D simulations directly in Power BI, integrating timeline data effectively and showing elements temporarily.
Feel free to reach out to me at pablo@horizunaec.com, and I’ll be happy to show you how it can be done!
First of all, I have been studying these works by the Speckle team for 15 days and you have made very beautiful plays. Congratulations to the team.
Pwer Bi also thought in my mind about 4d simulation. To transfer the model of a 4d simulation created in a program such as Naviswork or synchro to Power Bi separately. To be able to transfer the timeliner data separately as a gantt chart and make changes to the time data.
Here’s what i think you can do to achieve what you want:
We have Navisworks and Revit connectors. Depending on the use case, you can publish your model from either of these sources. I suggest Revit as it’s easier to navigate.
Then you can export your timeline from Navisworks as an Excel/HTML/XML file and import it into Power BI.
