Speckle Connector 3 for Archicad 28 not showing up

Hello everyone,
I’m having trouble with the Speckle Connector 3 for Archicad 28 — it’s not showing up anywhere.

I have a full license for Archicad 28 and I’ve installed the latest version of the Speckle connector. However, I can’t find it anywhere — it’s not in the main palette, the Add-On Manager, or the plug-ins list.

I’ve tried everything I could think of: restarted the computer and Archicad, reinstalled the connector multiple times, but nothing has worked so far.

For reference, the connector seems to be working fine in Blender, so the issue appears to be specific to Archicad.

Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to fix it?

Does the answer in the documentation help @mingding ?

If the Speckle addon doesn’t appear in Archicad’s Add-On Manager, or if a warning icon appears next to it, try unloading the addon and then loading it manually. You can refer to the Archicad Add-On Manager Help for assistance.

If the connector installation was successful, you can find the addon file at:

  • Archicad 28: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Speckle\Archicad\v3\28\Add-Ons\Speckle.apx
  • Archicad 27: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Speckle\Archicad\v3\27\Add-Ons\Speckle.apx

Hey @mingding

Can I ask you, if it was a clean install of Archicad28 or a long existing one?
Did you load any other addons in this installation before Speckle, or was Speckle the first one?

I’m asking this, because we have experienced one time, that on a clean AC28 install the addon did not show up the first time after installing Speckle, only after touching the addon manager and restarting Archicad.

If you can confirm that this was a clean AC28 install, then I will create a ticket for this issue and have a second look at it.
