Hi,
With my email joost.gevaert@bedrock.engineer I can’t get into app.speckle.systems or create a new account, but I can also not create a new account.
When I try to get in, and request to reset my password, I don’t receive a password reset email.
When I try to create a new account for joost.gevaert@bedrock.engineer , I get the message that the email is already taken.
I suspect that I at some point created a Speckle account for that email, but then deleted it again later, which is causing this issue.
Excuse me, and thanks for the help!
Does your work use a filtering service like mimecast? The domain is a popular one to eat up
Hi David,
Thanks for the reply, but I’d say that that isn’t the case, because joost.gevaert@bedrock.engineer is my email address, so i should simply receive an email from speckle to my inbox, right?
Or maybe I didn’t interpret what you’re saying quite correctly?
Are you saying that Speckle is filtering my email address? That’s not the case either, because my colleage Jules Blom does have an account with his email jules.blom@bedrock.engineer.
Hi @JoostGevaert
Would you be able to please share the support reference when you attempt to reset your password. This is available by clicking the spanner icon at the top-right of the page, see screenshot.

Ah seems like it wouldn’t be the issue I mentioned. But with the power of @iainsproat you’re in good hands

Do you see any error messages in your browser’s console when you clicked the button to request the password be reset? Please paste any errors you did find in reply below.

Hi @JoostGevaert
Thanks for posting this. Can you please retry resetting your password again?
If you have the ability to make a screen recording when resetting the password, that would also be helpful.
Thanks,
Iain
Thanks for all the help Ian!
I’m still not getting an email, so here’s the recording:
Thanks for posting this @JoostGevaert
I can see that the joost.gevaert@bedrock.engineer email address was added as a secondary email address to an existing account. Can you please try logging in with the email address that was originally used to create the account (it’s a gmail.com address)?
If logging in isn’t possible, please try sending the password reset to that gmail.com address.
Hopefully that will work, if you encounter any problems please let me know and post a screencapture if possible.
On our side we’ll investigate as to why password resets cannot be completed with a verified secondary email address.

Ah, I forgot that that is what I did, add that email to my existing Speckle account. Not create a Speckle account and then delete it, as I thought at first.
I’ve now made joost.gevaert@bedrock.engineer the primary email of my Speckle account.
Is there a way to change the email that’s associated with a certain workspace?
I’d like to change the email in my workspaces to joost.gevaert@bedrock.engineer
I’ll ask my colleagues, but it may just be a caching issue since the change of the primary email address. We may have cached the user-interface as it was, and the cache should update in time.

Thanks for all your help!
FYI:
The email is still
jhngevaert@gmail.com and I did clear the cache for app.speckle.systems
